Hike to the Simpson water pump station

Summary: Stroll through Waverly park on sidewalks around the boat hose with a full view of Waverly Lake, follow the sidewalk up to and cross Old Salem Rd. NE. The sidewalk continues behind Waverly Memorial Cementery. You will go under the over head rail road along Cox Creek and come to Simpson Park. The open gate lets you follow a graveled road to the second Simpson parking lot where you will go around a closed gate near the Simpson log pond. Follow the chip covered trail North with the Willamette river on your left and Simpson long pond on your right. Note the trees with the cable wraped around them for tying off log rafts.
Trailhead: Exit I-5 at 234 B drive South on HWY 99 E. at the intersection of Albany Ave. SE and Pacific BLVD enter the parking lot of Waverly park on your right.. (Lat:44.64147 Lon:-123.06709)

Was decent. Not really interesting terrain, but not bad.
