Summary: There are nice views of the lake and/or ponds from this trail. There is a nice pier to walk out on. People fish off the banks and piers. The terrain is much like one would expect in southern Alabama. It is reasonably flat and there are lots of pine trees. The trails are in great shape and the terrain is pretty easy. Trailhead: There is plenty of parking at the Open Pond Camping Recreation Area. There are signs off of Hwy 137 directing you to this area.
