Franconia Ridge via Greenleaf Hut

Summary: An excellent hike with almost 1/2 of the hike above 4000 feet and exposed. Fantastic scenery and steep trails.

People die here in the winter and caution is advised in all seasons.. Please bring the necessary gear including full winter gear, gps, compass and anything else you might need to survie extreme weather, ice and snow.

Trailhead: Park at the Canon Mountain Ski area and spot a car at Lafayette place. Both are on Interstate I-93 north of Lincoln NH.

The trailhead for the Greenleaf trail can be hard to spot. Leave the parking lot and walk under the overpass. Take a left and the trail starts on the right side of the ramp. (Lat:44.1607 Lon:-71.64457)

It was awsome hikin up to the greenleaf hut and the view was magnificent. We even slept in the trail hut which was really fun. This is a trail that I will becoming back to do year after year.
