Swift Creek - Suwannee River

Great trails right in beautiful White Springs Florida

Distance:5.3 miles round trip
Elevation Gain:125 ft
Hike Time:2.5 hours
Difficulty:Moderate
Trail Condition:Well maintained trail

Summary: This trail is great. I was hiking but would have loved to tried to ride a mountain bike on the trails - this is allowed. Lots of great pine / oak forest with ups and downs. Much of the trail is along the Suwanee River. There are several different marked trails for bikes and the "Bridge to Bridge" trail. But I didn't have a map to follow so I relied on me and my GPS to find my way.

I think the State of Florida Eco-Tourism Center in town has some maps.

Trailhead: Take I-75 or I-10 to Whte Springs Florida... then go to the second blinking light and make a right and follow the road down to back end of the cemetery . You will see the trailhead for Swift Creek Conservation Area. (Lat:30.32639 Lon:-82.74856)

This was a very nice hike considering most of my hiking was done, in NC, in the mountains. Was a great walk to do on the weekend . Fairly easy trail with some nice views.
