Summary: This incomplete section has two distinct trail situations. The north half of the trail ends at Rt.70 where a bridge is being constructed to take the trail into Bolivar. This section also has a number of locks and other period canal infrastructures. The trail here is crushed limestone put down by a determined team of volunteers. The southern half of this trail is undeveloped. Lots of rocks and tree roots, it has been washed out in places by flooding and is not suitable for road or hybrid bikes. Mountain biking and hiking. Trailhead: The only lot for this section is near the middle at Zoar.
