Summary: There is no cell phone service between Confluence and Meyersdale.

The TOPO! Overlay file included with this review contains data for the entire 30 miles of the Allegheny Highlands Trail from Confluence to Meyersdale and includes the track of the planned trail and road bypass route to Cumberland, Md.

Trailhead: The Markleton trailhead can be accessd off of Rt. 281 North from Confluence. Turn East onto Markleton School Rd. Left on Turkeyfoot Trail Rd and then immediately right onto State Rd. 3011. (lat: N39 51.602 lon: W79 13.670)

The trailhead at Rockwood Station (mile 23) is accessed by taking Rt 653 to Rockwood. There, it makes a hard left turn. Follow Bridge St. straight across the Cassleman River to the parking area just on the South side. (lat: N39 55.630 lon: W79 9.661) Rockwood has a portajohn and a water fountain and the Rockwood Trail House Bed & Breakfast. A trailside campsite is under development. (Lat:39.86006 Lon:-79.22772)
