Summary: The trail winds along the Baker River through lots of old growth trees, ferns and moss. At about a half mile you will come to a bridge which is the junction with the Baker Lake Trail. From here the trail is narrow and ducks around and through huge boulders. You cross a few streams and go over a wooden foot bridge. The trail beyond has been washed out at times by the river so be careful. Beavers have been busy on parts of the river. The trail ends at Sulphide Camp. The views of the glaciers on the southeast flank of Mt. Shuksan are great. Trailhead: From I-5 in Burlington, go east on Hwy 20. Just past mile marker 82, turn left on Baker Lake Road. Drive about 26 miles to the end of the road. The trailhead is well marked from the parking area.
