Summary: Brady Lake is a nice lake, when it has water. Right now they are working on the dam area and the lake is mostly drained, when it is fixed the fishing should be pretty good. The walk is a nice walk through some beautiful State Game lands, wear orange during hunting season. Watch out for unexploded ordinance, this area was used for artillery practice before WW2 and they have found some old shells. No one has blown up but don't go disturbing any metal objects on the hike. Trailhead: From Rt 940 by Pocono Lake turn into the access road for Brady Lake and State Game Lands 127. If the gate is open you can drive to the parking area, if not you have to add a few miles to the hike. It looks great! Have run around this lake (trail running) in the snow. It is fabulous - flat, scenic, quiet - not even the sound of far off planes. A great place to go.
