Summary: This hike can be done in either direction, I like to hike this in a counter clockwise direction. From the parking lot take the main trail which heads north (church on right) and climb to the top of Ivy Hill, At the top you'll see a great view of Corvallis, follow main trail by 3 benche. There are several branch trails stay, just follow main. As you drop down into trees the trail becomes a single track, as it meets the wide path again at a junction of trails head west and stay right on "Dan's Trail" at the sign. Follow Dan's trail till it comes to a gravel road, go left and follow the gravel road back around to the Dan's trail sign, then right on the main wide trail as it heads south. Stay ont his wide trail as it winds down and up several times then down to the parking lot. Parts of this trail will be muddy in winter.
Trailhead: From I-5 take the Corvallis exit and head west to Corvallis. As you cross the Willamette River take a right on 3rd street and follow 3rd/Hwy 99 W north to Walnut Blvd stop light, turn left and follow Walnut west to stop light at Highland, turn right heading north. Road will climb, drop and climb again, at top of second hill turn left on Lester and follow to gravel parking lot at end of road. This is the trail head. (Lat:44.6 Lon:-123.27)

I used to do this hike all the time!! It is a short (yet straight uphill) jaunt to the top, and there are benches and large grassy areas where you have THE most fantastic view of Corvallis towards Eugene. The Cascades and the Coast Range are equally in view. This is a perfect place to go to relax, and feel like you're at the top of the world.

This is a great trail. It can take all day or just an hour. It is a "real" trail. By that I mean bring some boots this time of year. I personally enjoy that. It is quite muddy.
