Summary: I wanted to do this hike again to check on the progress of the bridge construction and boardwalk. I also wanted to go down to the point and explore east of the bridge. The bridge and boardwalk are almost complete...should be done by end of year. Then you will be able to go from Flagler Trail to both the Geneva Wilderness area and the Barr Street Trailhead. On the way to the point, I saw a gator in a pond and a heron (peacefully coexisting). There are still a lot of trees down, but the trails are passable. To the east of the bridge I found where the trail connects to the trailhead in the Little Big Econ State Forest. Cool. Trailhead: Fllagler Trail south trailhead on Snowhill Road, just off of CR 419. The Trailhead signs were blown away by the hurricanes as of November 2004.
