Summary: ABUNDANT WILDLIFE ABOUND IN THIS AREA.
THIS IS A SHORT WALK THROUGH THE OAK HARDWOODS OF THE OZARKS,THERE ARE A FEW CLEARINGS THAT HAVE SOME RATHER DEEP GRASS AT THE PRESENT BUT THAT WILL SOON BE GONE.
THE SPRING IS A NICE PLACE TO COOL OFF ON A HOT DAY.

PICNIC TABLES ARE AROUND THE SPRING SO BRING YOUR LUNCH AND HUNT A CACHE OR 2.

THIS IS A CONSERVATION AREA SO NO ATV'S ARE ALLOWED AND HORSES IN DESIGNATED AREA'S ONLY.

Trailhead: FROM JOPLIN,MISSOURI TAKE HWY. 71 SOUTH,
FROM ROGERS,ARKANSAS TAKE HWY. 71 NORTH
TO THE JUNCTION OF HWY. 60 EAST.GO EAST TO THE JUNCTION OF HWY. HH.
GO SOUTH EASTERLY ON HWY HH TO THE TRAIL HEAD ON THE RIGHT.

This park confused me. When you first pull up you see the first area with a parking lot and woods. I decided to go on and see if there were more. Next, I came to the second area. It was a shooting range. It may have been my first time, but I didn't feel comfortable taking my kids on a hike close to where live ammunition is going off. So we continued on to site 3. We decided to get out and go for a walk. It was very enjoyable and scenic. I thought that the trails would be paved, so I brought a stroller for my 9 month old. However, I ended up carrying him for our 2 hour hike because there is no way a stroller could make it up these trails. He had a lot of fun and asked ourselves "what's around the next bend?" I'm bring a frontpack next tim
