Summary: This is a great hike and if the Ocean Drive Trail wasn't so close to the road it would easily rate 5 stars. The hike starts out along the Ocean Drive trail, with numerous small side trails leading down to stunning views of the sea cliffs. About a quarter mile past Thunder Hole, walk to the end of the parking area for Gorham Mountain and head up the Gorham Mountain Trail. At the first branch in the trail, take the Cadillac Cliffs branch to the right. This is a wonderful section of trail at the base of some 20 or 30 foot high cliffs. The Cadillac Cliff trail will merge back into the Gorham Mountain trail and continues up to the peak, with great views of the ocean. Continue past the summit, turning right at several branches in the trail until you return to the Sand Beach parking lot.
Trailhead: Park at the Sand Beach parking lot off the Acadia park loop. The trail starts out on the Ocean Drive Trail. The trailhead is at the end of the upper parking lot. (Lat:44.33077 Lon:-68.18517)
