Summary: This is an easy walk along a well maintained trail. The trail starts at the beach parking area and continues along Western Lake. After starting in the dunes the path enters a maritime scrub community with excellent examples of salt pruning. The trail includes many raised boardwalks to keep hikers feet dry while venturing through the pine flatwoods. The trail terminates on a boardwalk leading to the Gulf shore, beautiful emerald waters, and white sand beach. Trailhead: Trailhead is located at the eastern end of the beach parking lot of Grayton Beach State Park.
