Summary: On this hike wou will go through old sugar maple forest, across streams, along ponds and fields and to the top of the Kittatinny Ridge. You will also be able to catch a glimps of the historic Lusscroft farm. For more information go to http://www.lusscroftfarm.com/ The Lusscroft tour hike starts at the gate. Walk about 100 yards. At the start of the cable guard-rail on right side you will see the light blue trail. Make the right on the light blue trail. From this point follow the trail colors mentioned here. Light blue to road. Cross road and take dark blue. Straight onto light pink. Back onto dark blue. Junction with yellow. Go right up steephill on dark blue. Come to wide woods road and make left. Go past yellow and make left on orange. Make right onto yellow. Make left onto dark blue. Left onto light blue. Right onto orange. Cross road take brown. Right on green. left on yellow.Right on pink. Right on red. Go staight on light blue, take to start. . Trailhead: Take rt 23 North towards Sussex Boro. Go through the town of Sussex Boro. Make left onto rt. 650. Follow rt. 650 west to rt. 519. Make a left onto rt. 519. Go less than 2 miles. Look for historic Lusscroft marker on right. Make the right at the sign and park along side. (Do not block the gate. From the gate and stone gate house walk up paved road for 100yards. Light blue trail is on right at start of cable guard rail.
