Near:New Haven, IN
Scenery:
Distance:0.36 miles round trip
Elevation Gain:5 ft
Hike Time:0.5 hours
Difficulty:Easy
Trail Condition:Fire road/pavement
HikeType:Out and Back

Summary: This would be an excellent lunch time hike, or a good place to walk the dog if you live in the area. There is a very large pavilion near the trailhead if you'd like to make a picnic of it, along with a pier for fishing or feeding the ducks and geese. During the winter there is even ice skating.

The trail itself is definitely not the greatest I have ever walked. It proclaims to be a nature trail, but I think it has turned more into a Frisbee golf course than anything. It is a pleasant walk during the fall though.

At the end there are two exits if you don't want to turn back to where you started. One is a wooden staircase; the other is a wooden ramp for bikes and wheelchairs.

Trailhead: The trailhead is in the parking lot of Moser Park in New Haven. Moser Park is located near the intersection of Main Street and State Street. (Lat:41.0744333 Lon:-85.021233)

This is a lovely trail. I have enjoyed walking it many times with my family and dog, and sometimes even by myself. It is especially beautiful when everything is bloom in spring and once the leaves have changed in the fall. You can easily extend your walk further on the greenway if the hike is too short for your tastes or branch off and walk back thru downtown New Haven.
