Summary: Beginning in a grassy meadow, this trail climbs to the top of a low ridge. The climb is sometimes a narrow trail, with worn paths at different levels. Watch your footing as you proceed up the trail.

As you get to the top of the ridge, the trail flattens out, and leads you through a few fields and meadows full of tall grasses. Keep an eye out for rabbits, coyotes, deer, and raccoons.

The trail then starts to head downhill, toward the ocean. You can see Coast Camp straight ahead during the descent, it is tucked behind the ridge next to the ocean.

There is water and toilets available at Coast Camp, useful to hit before turning around to head home.

Trailhead: Point Reyes is located approximately 35 miles north of San Francisco on Highway 1 along the west coast of California. Travelers may approach the park from the winding scenic Highway 1, either northbound or southbound. You can also reach the park via Sir Francis Drake Boulevard or Point Reyes/Petaluma Road. (from http://www.nps.gov/pore)

Enter the seashore at Olema, near the Bear Valley Visitor's Center. Turn left on Limantour Road. Head up over the ridge, and back down toward the ocean, then turn left at the Point Reyes Hostel sign. Follow the driveway all the way back to the trailhead. (Lat:38.04351 Lon:-122.85532)
