Summary: A pleasant extension to Coyote Ridge. You go along the top of the ridge then drop down using several switchbacks till you reach a small valley. After you cross the valley you will head up a draw that carries you farther into the rolling hogbacks. When you reach the summit you will have an awesome view of Longs Peak. And if you're quiet you may see deer on your hike. The profile shows the whole hike from the end of Coyote Ridge down into the valley up into the hills and returns down into the valley and back up the ridge. Trailhead: Trail for Rim Rock Trail is at the end of the 2.25 mile. Coyote Ridge Trail. The total length of both trails is aproximately 7 miles. With about 2.7 miles being the Rim Rock Trail. Coyote Ridge Trail is South of Ft. Collins on Taft Hill Road and North of Loveland on Wilson.
