Summary: This is what I call a "date" hike, or quick walk in the woods for those out of town visitors. It lets you see some nice views, etc, but is over quick in case the date isn't that "great." From the Lewisberg Saddle north gate, take the 500 or Nettleton Road and head up 1/4 mile. Take the first right or 5030 road (over grown a little) and head up till the road ends, then take the single track trail back down to your car. 1/2 mile round trip and good for a nice 1/2 hour leisurely hike with some elevation gain, but not much. The last part will be muddy in the winter. Trailhead: From Corvallis, Oregon take HWY 99 W north. Take a left at the light onto Lewisburg Road, then after a mile take a gradual right onto Sulfer Springs Road and follow to the top of the hill or "saddle." At the top there is a small parking lot on your right (north) side. The orange gate is your trailhead.
