Summary: Park at the trailhead and hike down the main road (cypress trail). There are information signs along the way although there are indications of disrepair after the 2004 hurricanes.

There is a spring located along west side of the trail about a mile from the trailhead.

The boardwalk at the end of the hike is closed right now even though it would be fairly easy to get it back up to standards. This boardwalk is needed to get out to Lake Jessup.
