Summary: This is a nice relatively short hike through an open woodland. The trail initially drops, where it runs parallel with a small creek. It follows the creek for roughly one half a mile. There is a wooden platform built, overlooking the creek and a small waterfall, if water levels permit. The trail then climbs away from the creek through a slightly more open wooden section, and finally back to the trailhead. Trailhead: From I-65, take Indiana State Road 62 east for approximately 8 miles. Turn right, into the park shortly past the city of Charlestown, IN. Once in the park, turn right at the first intersection and follow signs to Trail #2. Restrooms facilities are at the trailhead. The moss covered rocks along the creek and trees which have fell across the creek is picture perfect! Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
