Summary: Take a leisurely walk around this peninsula, enjoying the tree lined paths around the island that offer magnificent views of Boston and the harbor islands. We started from the main path, and turned left at the first intersection, until reaching the narrow dirt path to the island. Continue on the leftmost path and circle the island, returning to the same path that joins it with the mainland. Continue left, and return to the parking area. It is an easy hike with very slight elevation changes, perfect to bring the kids.
