Summary: The rail-tral between Dawson and Connellsville features nearly a mile of beehive coke ovens along the hillside and outcroppings of the Pittsburgh coal seam.

Trailhead: The trailhead at Dawson is accessed by exiting Rt. 51 onto Rt. 201 East. or leaving Connellsville on Rt. 201 West and turning North onto Rt. 819 in Vanderbilt. (lat: N40 2.717 lon: W79 39.722)

Connellsville has several places to park and access the trail. Most notibly, is Riverfront Park at the end of North 6th and North 7th Streets off of Route 711. (lat: N40 1.214 lon: W79 35.981). The park has rest rooms, picnic pavilions water and access to other shops and snacks. There is also parking off of North 3rd St.
